Product information "Peavey 6505 1992 Original"
It's back! This amp has made history! The 6505 1992 Original is a reissue of the legendary high-gain top from 1992 – the name had to be changed for legal reasons – but the 6505 head is what redefined high-gain amps in 1992. The amp offers 2 channels - Rhythm and Lead, whereby the Rhythm channel can be switched to "Crunch", which is known to go far beyond the usual crunch gain range. There are 2 different input sensitivities available, both channels share a common 3-band EQ with additional presence and resonance controls in the power amp section. There's not much to say about the sound: uncompromising high-gain is the name of the game, aggressive and fat with incredible punch.

Peavey Electronics – powerful sound since 1965
Peavey Electronics stands like few other names for uncompromising sound, innovation and reliability in the field of electric guitar amplifiers. Founded in 1965 by the then 23‑year‑old Hartley Peavey in a garage in Meridian, Mississippi, the company developed within a few decades into one of the world's leading manufacturers of musical instruments and audio technology. The vision was clear from the start: to make professional technology accessible and affordable for everyone – without sonic compromise.
Especially in the world of guitar amplifiers Peavey has secured a firm place in music history. With legendary models like the 6505®, originally created in collaboration with Eddie Van Halen as the "5150", or the versatile Classic® 30, Peavey has shaped entire music genres – particularly rock, hard rock and metal. The combination of brutal high‑gain sound, enormous presence and rugged construction makes Peavey amps a preferred choice for both stage and studio.
Alongside iconic tube amplifiers, Peavey also stands for technological innovation. With the company's own TransTube® technology they succeeded in convincingly emulating the dynamics and playing feel of tube amps in the world of solid‑state amplifiers – ideal for anyone seeking maximum reliability with minimal maintenance. Models like the Bandit 112 have therefore enjoyed cult status among beginners and experienced guitarists alike for decades.
Whether you're looking for a versatile combo for rehearsal room and club, a brutal tube head for the big stage or a reliable partner in the studio: Peavey delivers powerful solutions for modern guitar sounds – built with experience, passion and a feel for practical use.
