The design of the UT FET47 began with a specially made Cinemag transformer that provides unparalleled response, warmth and an incomparable low end. This is rounded off by a special capsule from the Heisermann HZ series, developed as a joint venture between United and Heisermann. Additionally, vintage polystyrene capacitors and FETs were sought out for the "real" sound.
United worked with the renowned capsule designer and manufacturer Eric Heiserman to develop a production-ready version of his recently perfected dual-backplate K47 capsule.
After months of development, including analysis of even the smallest details such as the thread pitch of the screws used, they finally reached their goal. United found the perfect combination with special Cinemag transformers from California.
The large, powerful transformer is wound to the specifications of the original and makes the UT FET47 a true work of art.
