The X1 features one of sE Electronics's custom hand-made 1-inch diaphragms, which has a clear and rich sound. A 10 dB pad and a Bass Cut switch add versatility to the X1 microphone, making it well suited for a wide range of instruments, as well as vocals. One of the unique things about the sE X1 is its black rubber paint finish, which shrugs off the scrapes and dings any piece of heavily used studio gear is eventually exposed to.
