The Catalinbread Naga Viper is a treble booster in the tradition of the old Dallas Rangemaster, as used by Tony Iommi, Brian May, Marc Bolan, Glenn Tipton and KK Downing of Judas Priest. Despite their different styles, they all used it to give their British tube amps a juicy, overtone-rich rock sound. The current MKII version has an additional Attenuate control, which can be used to limit the output for upstream effect devices to a tolerable level.
