Dave Friedman studied Arredondo's work for years.
With the Friedman Jose Head he pays tribute to that legacy – developed in collaboration with Arredondo's daughter Marisol. The Jose amp is not a simple reproduction but a modern, detail‑loving reinterpretation of the legendary "Jose Mods".

Dave Friedman has studied Arredondo's work for years. With the Friedman Jose Head, he pays tribute to this legacy – developed in collaboration with Arredondo's daughter Marisol. The Jose amp is not a simple reproduction, but a modern, detailed reinterpretation of the legendary "Jose Mod."
The amplifier is a 100-watt head with EL34 tubes that delivers the typical saturated high-gain sound. A 3-way gain-style circuit, a fat switch, and two presence controls offer flexible tone shaping from classic to modern sounds.
