Maton ER 90 Traditional
Product information "Maton ER 90 Traditional"
The Maton ER 90 Traditional is the result of a combination of three sources of inspiration: the ER 90C, the 75th Anniversary Traditional model and the Custom Shop CS Classic. It combines the bracing and design elements of the 75th Traditional with rosewood back and sides and the satin finish of the ER90C, plus the slimmer body depth of the CS Classic.
The result is a small-body guitar with a full, bell-like tonal character. Despite the reduced body depth (the body is 10 mm shallower than the 75th Anniversary) there is no lack of bass, as the depth is compensated by the incredibly rich lows produced by the rosewood back and sides. The shallower body depth also provides a bit more focus in front of the guitar, making it an excellent instrument for recording.
Visually, the ER90 Traditional takes its look from its older sibling, the ER90C. This includes multi-strip internal binding, a white outer binding, a mahogany neck, an ebony fretboard and bridge, as well as an ebony headplate veneer. The mahogany neck provides tone and stability, while the ebony fretboard and bridge complement the rich lows of the rosewood back and sides with a touch of sparkle in the highs.
The top bracing is fully scalloped and includes the laser-cut bridge plate originally developed for the 75th Anniversary model to increase strength and reduce weight.
This is a wonderful guitar suitable for all playing styles, from delicate fingerstyle to vigorous strumming, and of course it is equipped with Maton's brilliant AP5 Pro pickup system, which makes the ER90 Traditional absolutely unbeatable on stage....
