Hardly any other guitarist is as often associated with Ibanez guitars as guitar superstar Steve Vai. The JEM, Steve Vai's signature model, has been an integral part of the Ibanez range in various versions since 1987. With the JEMJR-BK, Ibanez has an affordable entry-level model with the typical features of the JEM in its programme: RG style body with the characteristic Lion Claw milling under the tremolo and the iconic "Monkey Grip", flat Wizard III neck, powerful INF pickups in H/S/H configuration and standard FR-style tremolo. The fingerboard is made of Jatoba, a South American cherry wood that is not subject to CITES regulations.
