Friedman Amplification Dirty Shirley 40
Product information "Friedman Amplification Dirty Shirley 40"
Dirty Shirley is an ultra-fat sounding classic rock amp. According to Premier Guitar, it sounds "like Jimmy Page on the first Zeppelin discs".
Dave Friedman's goal was to design the ultimate classic rock amp that covers everything from beautiful shimmering cleansounds to vintage-style crunch sounds such as Led Zepplin, ZZ Top and Van Halen, to smacking fat lead sounds, simply by using the volume poti of the guitar or varies the hardness of the attack... and with the Dirty Shirley, Dave Friedman is more than successful!
The basis of this Friedman sound miracle is almost a Marshall JTM45 with master volume. A low and a high input determine the gait. The low input reveals the tonal diversity of crisp shimmering cleansounds up to impressive dynamic vintage crunch sounds, the high input acts between classic rock and singing lead sounds. The tube rectifier gives the sound the correct amount of compression, which makes the amp - especially in the case of singlenotes fat and broad, without getting muddy. You can not really get a bad sound out of this amp!
For many guitarists, the name Dave Friedman does not have the same meaning as e. g. Eddie Van Halen, Steve Stevens, and Jerry Cantrell. But without Friedman's expert help, Van Halen, Stevens, and Cantrell - and a lot of other guitarists - would not sound as fantastic on the stage or in the studio as we know them. In his company Rack Systems, Friedman has either assembled, modified or repaired the equipment of some of the most famous guitarists over the past 25 years. Rack Systems is specialised in high-class, road-capable switching systems and sophisticated racks or pedalboards. Friedman's innovative designs have made him a legend in the world of professional touring guitarists, and the more than meticulous construction of his Rack Systems products has earned him a loyal customer base worldwide.
The modification of amplifiers to the exact sound conceptions of their owners was one of Friedman's special services for many years. His extensive experience in this field, which helped him construct great rigs for the Créme de la Créme of the top guitarists and maximize the demand for his modifications, inspired Friedman to develop his own amplifier series under the name Friedman Amplification. A premiere for Friedman, who normally works face to face with the greats of the guitar world.
Previously, a certain degree of recognition was needed for Dave Friedman to build or modify your amp. From now on his sound magic art is accessible to everyone.
