Fender Palomino Vintage SSB
Product information "Fender Palomino Vintage SSB"
In the early 1960s a new creative culture flourished in Southern California, and Leo Fender set out to design a new range of acoustic instruments that captured the innovative spirit of the musicians around him. In collaboration with renowned luthier Roger Rossmeisl, Fender introduced several acoustic models that embodied the distinct musical character that made Fender a symbol of the rock'n'roll revolution. These featured unmistakable headstock shapes, easy-to-play neck profiles and a revolutionary design that would forever change the look of Fender acoustic models.
Today's Fender California models build directly on their mid-century origins, with a retro look that delivers a rich, modern sound – a true contemporary alternative with classic Fender tradition and unmistakable Fender style. The Palomino's auditorium body is fitted with innovative Performance-X bracing and features a solid Sitka spruce top and a solid Ovangkol body to effortlessly produce a layered, balanced tone with plenty of clarity. The Okoume neck has an ergonomic, modern V-profile; together with the solid body it provides optimal sustain. A 6-in-line maple headstock delivers a distinctive look and echoes Fender's famous electric guitars.
Other notable details include the bound Ovangkol fretboard with pearloid block inlays for a retro look, vintage-style tuners for precise tuning, and a bone nut and bridge for excellent intonation.
The integrated Fishman Sonitone Plus pickup system has controls conveniently reachable in the soundhole. A piezo on the underside of the guitar can be combined with an internal body transducer to faithfully reproduce the guitar's natural tone when plugged into an amplifier or recording device.
The Fender California instruments are bold, eye-catching and unique and make no compromises when it comes to style, tone and easy playability – for anyone who wants to play something special.
