With the Gold series Cort presents a fully solid acoustic guitar range featuring thermally treated ("torrified") tops and bracing. Cort calls this process "Aged To Vintage", which simulates the ageing of the top over decades. This produces, from the outset, that wonderfully full, overtone-rich and balanced tone associated with old, well-played-in instruments. The very thin UV finish of the Gold series supports the guitar's excellent vibration characteristics. Additionally, the "Doublelock Neckjoint" was developed as a further important element for the best possible sound — by additional bolting of the neck to the body it improves vibration transfer.
