“A clear presentation of technique & basic knowledge meets entertainment & joy of playing. A well thought-out, logically structured sequence of lessons makes learning easier and motivates with sonically effective pieces. The naturally flowing methodological concept leads to audible and tangible successes at the keyboard even with a small amount of practice!”
Jens Rupp has been working as a piano and keyboard teacher for over 30 years. With this experience he has now created a tutor that unites his previous teaching methods and positive experiences as a teacher. With “Meine erste Keyboardschule!” a contemporary and didactically well thought-through school has been created that is easy to understand and logically comprehensible for pupils and teachers. Through carefully graded lessons the basics for making music on the keyboard are taught gently – thoroughly, sonically motivating and effectively. The school also contains many well-known and new compositions that lead the pupil with much joy to successful keyboard playing.
“Meine erste Keyboardschule!” is limited to the keys C major and A minor. The musical teaching pieces are combined in such a sequence that they are composed and arranged in very fine gradations of difficulty. The school contains many pieces in the C major basic position for the right hand. This gives the pupil enough time to learn the first five notes c', d', e, f' and g' thoroughly and at leisure. During the course of the book the pitch range is gently extended with the notes a', b', c'' , d'' , e'' , f'' and the note B (B natural). At the same time the left hand gradually learns the chords C major, G major, G7, F major, A minor, E minor and D minor. It is therefore soon possible to accompany many melodies from all musical styles in the keys C major and A minor with the left hand. To facilitate note reading, “Meine erste Keyboardschule!” is limited to 12 notes in the treble clef. Getting to know almost all chords of the key of C major is made easy and in this form unique.
