Jens Rupp has been active as a piano teacher for over 30 years. With this experience he has now created a method that unites his previous teaching approaches and positive experiences as a teacher. With „Meine erste Klavierschule!“ a contemporary and thoroughly didactically conceived school has been created that is easy to understand and logically comprehensible for students and teachers. Through carefully graded lessons the foundations of classical and modern piano music are introduced gently – thoroughly, tonally motivating and effectively. It also contains many new compositions that lead the student to successful piano playing with great enjoyment.
The first half of the piano method is limited to the three major keys C major, G major and F major to allow practising, playing and orientation in cautious steps. In the second half the parallel minor keys A minor, E minor and D minor are added. Repeated keyboard illustrations help the student by making orientation easier. The musical teaching pieces of the piano method are combined in such a sequence that they are composed in very fine gradations of difficulty and are systematically coordinated.
Small rock and blues pieces in the second half of the book provide musical variety and contrast. What has already been learned is repeatedly applied and the playing skills in both classical and modern areas are gradually expanded and deepened. Harmony theory is also taught in detail in order to learn the necessary knowledge and understanding of musical relationships, notation and tones.
