Korg Kronos 2025 88
Product information "Korg Kronos 2025 88"
The KORG KRONOS 88 is, even in the 2025 edition, the ideal stage and studio instrument for anyone who needs great flexibility without compromising on sound quality, reliability and features.
The Kronos still offers nine different sound engines:
- SGX-2: Grand piano and upright sounds
- EP-1: Vintage electric piano sounds
- CX-3: Organ sounds
- Polysix EX: Analog-style synth sounds
- MS-20 EX: Synthesizer sounds like the Korg MS-20, including a virtual patch panel via the TouchView display
- AL-1: Synth sounds for pads, leads and basses
- STR-1: Physical-modeling engine for, e.g., virtual plucked and bowed instruments
- MOD-7: VPM/FM sounds
- HD-1: Sampling engine for drums, percussion, choirs, etc., including comprehensive internal sampling functionality (via USB stick or audio and microphone inputs)
The on-board sequencer offers 16 MIDI and 16 audio tracks, making it a practical playback source for click and backing tracks on stage.
The flexible effects section provides 16 effect slots, including 12 insert effects, 2 master and 2 total effects. You can choose from a total of 197 different effect types. In addition there is a 3-band EQ to tailor the sound perfectly for stage and studio.
The KARMA function generates complex musical accompaniments in real time that can be intuitively controlled and adjusted via the faders and buttons of the controller section.
The KORG KRONOS offers a variety of performance aids that enable expressive playing. The RH3 hammer-action keybed features aftertouch; the control surface also includes freely assignable faders, rotary knobs and buttons, an X-Y joystick, an additional vector joystick and a ribbon controller.
The third generation of the Kronos, the KRONOS 2025, achieves significantly faster operation thanks to its optimised system architecture, which is noticeable, among other things, in a markedly reduced start-up time. The workflow is made smoother and more natural in particular by the faster-responding TouchView display.
The extensive collection of preset sounds in the KRONOS 2025 is expanded by hundreds of additional tones from various musical styles, so the instrument is ready to use straight after switching on—whether for studio productions, band use or captivating solo performances.
