Thanks to different modes the display can be perfectly customised, and because the displays have an omnidirectional viewing angle they’re easy to read from any position. The robust MAGVEL FADER PRO delivers smooth, precise and responsive scratches.

Also new are the DDJ-REV7’s instant-scratch buttons, which let you trigger samples even in the middle of the most complex scratch manoeuvre. The DDJ-REV7 also includes four built-in original sounds that work even without a connected laptop. If you want to use your own samples in your sets, simply load the Scratch Bank in Serato DJ Pro and play them with the performance pads at the desired point — this even works with full tracks. Brand-new & motorised: VINYLIZED jogs deliver real vinyl feeling
At the heart of each deck on the DDJ-REV7 is the new motorised 7-inch jog-wheel, offering rotation stability comparable to a 12-inch turntable and a feel like using real vinyl. The acrylic top has a vinyl-like surface that gives your fingers perfect grip. Torque can be adjusted from low to high, and two slip-sheets are supplied for each deck. This creates the optimal feel for performing. The jog-wheels can run at 33⅓ or 45 RPM, and the stop-time setting determines how the deck behaves when the pause button is pressed. The music can either stop immediately or gradually wind down, like switching off an analogue turntable.

On-jog display: keep all key info in view
A 3.5-inch LCD display sits in the centre of each jog-wheel so all important information is always visible. You don’t need to keep looking back and forth between the decks and your laptop. Thanks to the omnidirectional viewing angle the displays are readable from any position. The digital marker that shows the current playback position can be turned off. If you prefer something else, use the included stickers to mark the jog-wheels.
 

• Waveform mode
  • In this mode the overall waveform of the track on the deck is shown, plus the detailed waveforms of the tracks on both decks side by side. This allows quick and intuitive adjustments. BPM, playback speed (tempo), remaining or elapsed time, the digital marker for the playback position (which can be disabled) and the number of beats in a loop (if a loop is active) are also shown.
• Virtual deck mode
  • Displays Serato DJ Pro’s virtual deck and the number of beats until the next hot-cue point.
• Artwork display
  • Shows the artwork for the track that’s currently playing.
• DJ-logo display
  • In this mode you can display your own logo or favourite image on each deck. Simply upload it to the DDJ-REV7 using the Image Transfer Tool for PC/Mac.

Latency-free scratching: fire samples super-fast with dedicated buttons
The DDJ-REV7 has four built-in original scratch samples that are played by pressing the dedicated hardware buttons. Because the sounds are integrated, they can be fired anytime even without a connected laptop. If you prefer your own samples, the Scratch Bank function lets you immediately load scratch samples from four banks you’ve assigned in Serato DJ Pro.

Thanks to the MAGVEL FADER PRO, the DDJ-REV7 allows scratching in any style with maximum reliability. The fader is extremely robust and can be adjusted in various ways so it fits any style perfectly.

22 integrated beat-FX, including three new ones: for dynamic sound changes
The three brand-new beat-FX add more drama to track transitions. In total there are 22 beat-FX available that can be triggered with the appropriate controls.

New beat-FX:

• Duck Down: A roll effect that fades out while lowering pitch.
• Fill Out: A roll effect that creates a roll with a changing rhythmic pattern and fades out with echo.
• Helix Out: An effect that samples the input sound and repeats it while fading it out like a reverb, increasing playback speed and pitch.

Pull the effect levers down and hold to apply Serato DJ Pro effects repeatedly for short bursts. Push the levers up and the effects stay active, leaving your hands free for scratching or browsing tracks. Effects are stored across four FX banks and can be triggered without latency. Editing is done easily via the Setting Utility on a PC/Mac. In addition to the effect currently in use, it’s possible to trigger up to six further FX via Serato DJ Pro. The DDJ-REV7 also offers five popular Sound Colour FX for creative experimentation.

Advanced audio design: rich sound of the highest quality
With a D/A converter from ESS Technologies and audio design improvements, the DDJ-REV7 achieves the best sound quality of any Pioneer DJ controller. Even unwanted noise typically caused by internal power supplies has been minimised for a cleaner listening experience.

Plug-and-play compatibility with Serato DJ Pro: use the software straight away
Once you’ve downloaded Serato DJ Pro to a PC/Mac, simply connect the DDJ-REV7 via the supplied USB cable and start playing. The precise control of the software’s functions and effects via the controller’s buttons, knobs, faders and jog-wheels is a real pleasure. The package includes a voucher for the Serato Pitch ’n Time DJ expansion pack, which enables key shifting and key syncing with perfect audio quality.

Alternating matte areas and fine hairlines divide the top into distinct sections so the deck and mixer areas are clearly separated. The overall layout resembles a traditional setup of two turntables and a mixer, with the on-jog displays mimicking the label in the middle of a record.

Other features

• Silent-Cue: When the jog-wheel "platter" starts to spin, the music is slowly brought up to the correct speed. If you want the track to start immediately like a hot-cue, activate Silent-Cue, select a hot cue and then press the play button on the deck. It will then sound as if you’ve pressed a cue point on a DJ player.
• Smooth-Echo: To use the Smooth-Echo effect, assign it to a controller such as a fader or pad. When you switch the effect on with the corresponding button, the echo is triggered as the assigned controller is moved.
