Compatible with various DJ apps and streaming services
The DDJ-FLX2 is compatible with several popular DJ apps, including rekordbox and djay as well as Serato DJ Lite. After you install your preferred app on a mobile device and connect to the controller, you can start performing right away. If you want to take on a challenge and learn more advanced techniques, use DJ software on a PC/Mac, including Serato DJ Lite.
Each DJ app supports different streaming services, so you can choose the app and service that suit the music and DJ style you want to play. If you choose djay, you can access Apple Music, choose from over 100 million tracks and include your favourite music in your mixes.
Easy mixing with Smart-CFX and Smart-Fader
Thanks to the DDJ-FLX2's Smart-CFX and Smart Fader, it's simple to emulate the seamless mixing techniques used by pro DJs.
Smart-CFX lets you emulate complex and dynamic effect techniques used by professionals with a simple twist of the knob. Ideal for linking tracks and making performances more dynamic by emphasising the music whenever you want.
Smart-Fader automatically optimises control of volume, BPM and bass, which are important when transitioning between tracks. With this feature you can easily mix tracks from different genres, even if they have very different tempos (BPM).
Lightweight, compact body with easy-to-use features
The DDJ-FLX2 is AlphaTheta's lightest and most compact DJ controller, so you can take it wherever you play. It is powered via USB Type-C from a PC/Mac or mobile device and does not require an external power supply. To get started in DJing you can use the built-in speakers of a PC/Mac/mobile device. If you need more volume, connect the DDJ-FLX2's audio outputs to active speakers or an amplifier. That way nothing stands in the way of loud parties with friends. If you want to improve your skills, use headphones to play tracks and learn various DJ techniques.
Performance pads for professional DJing
With the DDJ-FLX2's performance pads you can easily alter the music. Use Pad Mode Select to choose different modes, including Hot Cue mode, where you can set a marker at any point in a track — e.g. the intro or chorus — to jump to that point instantly. For Pad FX, simply press the pads to apply a variety of effects and give the music your own flavour. The sampler lets you add sound effects or try performance techniques such as finger drumming.
