The British audio experts at Audient are updating the iD4 and releasing the MKII version. Like its predecessor, the id4 MKII offers outstanding sound characteristics that are unrivalled in this class. Audient has been able to significantly optimise the dynamics and frequency range of the iD4 thanks to a renewed converter technology. Together with the Class-A microphone preamplifier from Audient's high-end ASP8024 HE console, the interface offers a quantum leap for home recording. For easier handling and a better power supply, the iD4 MKII has a USB-C connection.
The id4 MKII offers uncompromising quality for singer/songwriters, mobile musicians and producers at an attractive price. An additional discrete JFET instrument input on the front panel allows guitar, bass, keyboards or other instruments such as drum machines to be connected directly to the interface and enhance the sound. The AD/DA conversion of the inputs and outputs is carried out by high-quality Burr-Brown converters, which are characterised not only by their excellent sound characteristics but also by their unique level of detail. In addition, there are the two features Monitor Mix and Monitor Panning. With Monitor Mix, the inputs of the ID4 MKII can be mixed latency-free with the playback channels of the DAW. When recording vocals and guitar at the same time, both signals can be individually distributed in the stereo image using Monitor Panning to create a balanced and suitable monitor mix. Another extremely practical feature of the high-quality Class A/B headphone amplifier is its 2 parallel outputs (1x 3.5 mm jack, 1x 6.3 mm jack). As with the iD14, a configurable iD Control knob with ScrollControl is also available for seamless DAW integration and volume control.

Through its innovative, award-winning products in recording and production, the British manufacturer Audient has built a large worldwide following over recent years. The company, founded in 1997 in Hampshire, is now regarded as one of the leading names in professional studio technology. Known for its uncompromising quality and workmanship, Audient offers outstanding sound quality as well as distinctive, elegant design at remarkably affordable prices.
High-end products such as the analogue consoles ASP4816 and ASP8024HE, and the 8-channel mic preamp/A‑D converter ASP880, are already considered modern classics and have found their place in numerous top studios around the globe. It is therefore no surprise that the British firm changed the game in the recording world with its very first audio interface. Unlike other manufacturers, Audient uses the same components, mic preamps and converters found in its top-of-the-line products across all its passionately developed products, regardless of price range.
