Recording Tool • Loadbox • Loadbox with professional loudspeaker enclosure and microphone simulations • Power amplifier input 150-watts into 8-ohms maximum with speaker output for one guitar enclosure • Balanced analog XLR input and outputs • Pre-Process XLR output for processing power amplifier signal • Post FX section with compressor, 6-band EQ with guitar and bass modes, exciter and Stereo Enhancer • AD/DA 24-Bit/192kHz, internal 32-bit processing • Free software for sampling the impulse resonse of your amplifier stack • digital AES/EBU and S/PDIF I/Os, Wordclock Sync for use with DAWs • Stereo headphone output • Parameters editable by MIDI or USB via TORPEDO Remote for PC/MAC • The Two Notes Torpedo VB-101 is a DI for your head amplifier composed of three main parts: a 150-Watts RMS Loadbox to play silently with your amplifier or preamp, a Torpedo speaker and miking simulator with cabinet models, and a Post-FX processor with low-cut filter, 5-band EQ, exciter and compressor. The Torpedo VB-101 is made to be used with a guitar / bass amplifier or preamp in place of your regular speaker cabinet. Play into simulations of 45 cabinets miked by 8 virtual microphones, fine tuning the microphone's position in front of the speaker cabinet. The Torpedo also includes four tube amplifier simulations, 6L6, EL34, EL84 and KT88 in Push-Pull Class-AB or Single Ended Class-A. Maximum input power 150-Watt RMS. Place the Two Notes Torpedo load box after your your preamp or amplifier and you'll be able to crank up the tone on your amplifier while keeping your volume down. The Torpedo's reactive load network is constantly maintaining the proper relationship of impedance and inductive / capacitive reactance, so the Torpedo lets you push your amplifier to its limits while keeping your volume down. On stage, you'll be able to keep stage volume down for better monitoring and overall sonic clarity. In the studio, you'll be able to record overdriven amp tone without creating bleed into other microphones. The Two Notes Torpedo VB101 serves a dual purpose as a load box. Tube amplifiers interact with the impedance load that a speaker cabinet puts on the amplifier's output: if you plug into your amplifier and connect the amplifier's output to a recording device, you won't get the tone you expect. By hooking up the Torpedo to your amplifier's speaker outputs, it interacts with your amplifier to provide the guitar tone you're looking for. Perfect for recording studios of any size. Generally, a load box is an external box that connects to a guitar amplifier and provides a dummy load with a speaker level input and a line level output for connecting to a live or studio mixing desk, or for feeding an effects device for creating a wet/dry rig for amplifiers without an effects loop or preamp output.
