Yamaha YFL-472 transverse flute
Product information "Yamaha YFL-472 transverse flute"
Under the slogan "The best student flute now even better" Yamaha presents the 200, 300 and 400 series
The transverse flutes now appear in a new design with pointed key-cup mechanism, as used on the professional models. The optimised pads provide better stability and thus contribute to an increased lifetime of the flutes. The elegant new shape of the key cups gives the flutes a pleasantly comfortable and natural playing feel.
The YFL-472, like its predecessor (YFL-471), is equipped with an E mechanism and an offset G. The headjoint, footjoint and body of the flute are made of sterling silver, producing a brilliant and radiant tone.
Unlike the YFL-412, the YFL-472 has ring keys which provide greater tonal richness and even allow playing quarter tones.
The CY headjoint
The CY headjoint features a polyconical taper and the embouchure hole is undercut in a specific way. This provides an excellent response and a warm, rich tone colour, helping beginners especially to produce a beautiful sound quickly. More advanced flautists will appreciate its even and fast response across all registers.
The "E mechanism"
The E mechanism is an additional lever that makes the high E (e3) more accurate and easier to play. It therefore facilitates intonation and provides additional playing security. The E mechanism has proven itself and become established for many years, particularly among amateurs and semi-professionals.
The "offset G"
The key position referred to as the "offset G" is now standard on any good flute. With this key position the instrument adapts to the ergonomics of your hand, not the other way around. So make sure your flute has an "offset G" — your fingers will thank you!
