Martin D-18 Molly Tuttle
Product information "Martin D-18 Molly Tuttle"
The Martin D-18 Molly Tuttle was developed both as a tribute to tradition and to a groundbreaking artist. Inspired by Molly's own D-18 from 1943, this signature model features rearward-shifted scalloped bracing, a narrow nut width of 1 11/16" favoured by bluegrass flatpickers, and an authentic 1940s neck profile.
Special details include custom moon-phase inlays on the fretboard, a silver Martin logo on the headstock overlay, oval tuning buttons and a vintage sunburst top – all combined with a vintage-inspired light-blue moulded hardshell case that harks back to models from the 1970s.
Built with a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides and ebony appointments, it delivers the punch, clarity and balance you expect from a D-18. A true artist model that reflects Molly's style, tone and vision.

The company C.F. Martin & Co., or simply Martin Guitars, can look back on a long company tradition and several innovative inventions. Chief among these is the development of the dreadnought shape and thus the steel‑string acoustic guitar as we know it today. With this, the family business, which spans over 175 years, has shaped the music world to this day. Innovations introduced by Martin that became standard in guitar making also include guitars with 14 frets clear of the body as well as X‑bracing. This allows greater stability and load-bearing capacity of the top (soundboard) thanks to strips glued to the inside of the top. To this day Martin guitars are renowned for their high quality and, of course, for their tone, and are very popular among guitarists. You can find a wide selection with us in the shop or in our branches ready to play. In our Martin Premium steel‑string acoustic guitars section you'll also find a selection of the finest acoustic guitar models from all Martin series.
The name of the US company Martin Guitars, actually C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., has stood for the highest quality and innovation in the construction of stringed instruments since 1833. When people think of Martin they immediately think of the acoustic guitar, since the company founder and German emigrant Christian Friedrich Martin gave the instruments the form we still know and appreciate today. Among the company's inventions are the special bracing (X‑bracing), the neck join at the 14th fret and popular body shapes such as the dreadnought guitar.
