Hohner Unsere Lieblinge 32 G

Product information "Hohner Unsere Lieblinge 32 G"

Our favourites 32 G- The darling of folk music

Their warm, soothing sound brings with it a promise of comfort and familiarity and conjures up images of green pastures, cold streams and snow-covered mountain peaks in the distance. The name itself is a promise: "Unsere Lieblinge" is a favourite in Schlager. But the smallest of Hohner's octave series is just as suitable for evergreens and pop. And it fits perfectly in your trouser pocket.

The Hohner Unsere Lieblinge 32 G is equipped with 0.9 mm thick brass tuning plates, which are traditionally nailed to the maple comb. The elegant stainless steel cover plates are screwed on, making them particularly easy to maintain. The unmistakable, curved shape of this octave harmonica not only ensures a beautiful appearance but also comfortable handling. The double-sealed maple comb is particularly robust and gives the Unsere Lieblinge 32 in G major a full sound. In keeping with tradition, the Hohner Unsere Lieblinge must not be without its transport box, which rounds off the Unsere Lieblinge 32 G octave harmonica.

Interesting facts:

Shortly after Joseph Richter introduced the Richter tuning in 1825/26, there were other tuning systems for the harmonica. Around 1828, the Viennese octave system, the Knittlinger system and the tremolo system (suspended tone tuning) were developed. In 2-choir harmonicas, two reeds sound simultaneously when blowing and pulling to produce a fuller tone. A distinction is made between octave and tremolo harmonicas. In octave models, the reeds that sound simultaneously have a frequency (pitch) difference of exactly one octave. In tremolo harmonicas, the two reeds are only slightly out of tune with each other, resulting in a beat, a rapid rise and fall in volume - this is also referred to as floating tone tuning. The tone arrangement usually corresponds to that of Richter harmonicas. On double-tone harmonicas, the comb is usually divided crosswise so that two comb openings are positioned one above the other. The transverse division serves to decouple the vibrations of the two simultaneously sounding reeds from each other, so that the floating tone effect actually materialises, especially in the tremolo version, and both reeds do not vibrate at the same frequency with the same phase, which would destroy the effect. While the range of applications for single-tone harmonicas is very broad, double-tone instruments are used almost exclusively in folk music.
