The Guild D-40 Traditional embodies the qualities that made the original D-40 one of Guild's most popular and respected models. Guild uses a high-quality solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides. The three-piece mahogany-and-walnut neck of the D-40 Traditional is fitted with an Indian rosewood fretboard and joined to the body with an authentic dovetail joint. This classic dreadnought features a tortoise pickguard, tortoise rosette and binding, a genuine Guild mother-of-pearl Peak inlay and a Chesterfield logo on the headstock, as well as nickel-plated tuners. A gloss nitrocellulose lacquer gives this masterpiece an elegant finish and brings out the beauty and resonance qualities of the top-grade tonewoods.
Each D-40 Traditional ships with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity and a humidified Guild hardshell case. Available in Natural or with an Antique Burst Top.
