Dave Friedman has achieved a great success with the Brown Eye amp, which has become synonymous with a fat rock sound with unbeatable dynamics. The Brown Eye BE-50 Deluxe also has what it takes to become another classic. There are 3 channels available: the clean channel corresponds to the legendary Buxom Betty amp - a bell-like, warm clean sound with a good sparkle top end. In the distortion section, things really get going: channel 2 delivers the popular Brown Eye sound and channel 3 in the Hairy Brown Eye voicing adds a scoop of gain and pressure. With the Fat, Voicing and Gain Structure switches familiar from the other Friedman amps, the amp can be excellently fine-tuned. The output power can be switched down from 50 watts to 25 watts.

Was soll ich sagen? Das ist nun mein zweiter Friedman Amp. Ich habe keine Ahnung wie Dave Friedman das macht. Aber noch mehr kann ich nicht verstehen, wie andere Hersteller das nicht so machen. Es kann ja nicht sein, dass ein Mann das hinkriegt, was ich bei einem Marshal an Extra vermisse?!?! Der Amp ist der Hammer. Die Vielseitigkeit, Soundstruktur, die Spieldynamik, Obertöne und das Gain...einfach top! Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung an alle die bereit sind für einen hohen Preis das Beste zu bekommen!
The ideal rock amp for players that want access to non-compromising tones that cover pop, funk, rock, metal, jazz, fusion, etc. The sounds are coupled with helpful features that allow for tweaking the interaction with the cab as well as a 25/50 power selector for quieter rehearsals. 3 channels is perfect for me and all channels react well to pedals, each in their own way. The loop is completely clean and I leave it on all the time. Other amps I own or have owned: bogner xtc, Shiva, goldfinger, Friedman runt 50 (sold to upgrade to the deluxe), revv, pwe, mesa ta-30, orange, Marshall, vht, fryette, axefx etc. I'd say that the deluxe tops them all. I love the Goldfinger for its vintage vibe and features, the pwe is great but mine is a single channel one, so not as versatile. To me, the Runt was disappointing (it's not a bad amp by any stretch though) but the BE deluxe is exactly what I've been wishing for.
