The Volume control adjusts the output level. The Sustain control optimizes the long sustain with just the right amount of harmonic distortion. To achieve its long sustain, the Electro-Harmonis Big Muff Pi distortion sustain effects pedal has very high maximum gain. This requires that pickups and cables be well shielded and properly grounded to avoid excessive hum when high sustain control settings are used.

Das big muff liefert genau den Sound, den ich wollte. Jeder Regler, verändert der Klang auf der ganzen Poti-range. Keine weißen Flecken. Die Größe des Gerätes hat mich überrascht. Ich muss mein Pedalboard überarbeiten. Alles in Allem kann ich eine Kaufempfehlung geben.
