AlphaTheta Corporation presents the DDJ‑GRV6, a 4‑channel DJ controller compatible with both rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro.
The DDJ‑GRV6 makes it easy to remix drum parts and create remixes on the fly thanks to the new Groove‑Circuit feature available in rekordbox. It lets you alter music in ways that would be impossible with a conventional DJ controller: simply press one of the dedicated buttons to swap the drum part of a track in playback with a beat or break from a completely different genre. You can add further effects to make the sound even more unique. When used with Serato DJ Pro, the DDJ‑GRV6 can also manipulate and isolate stems using the Stems‑FX function.
Featuring a layout inspired by CDJ + DJM setups, the DDJ‑GRV6 gives you the feel of club‑standard equipment. That makes moving into a club booth later much easier and more familiar, so you immediately feel at home. The controller includes a Smart‑Rotary‑Selector and the Discover function for quick and intuitive track browsing and selection. The Groove‑Circuit function lets you create remixes easily at the touch of a button. Drum parts of a loaded track can be replaced — even during playback — with different drum loops, allowing you to switch genres in an instant and produce unique remixes effortlessly. DJs can create fills, build‑ups and breakdowns by applying effects to the drum parts. The ability to freely change drum parts enables innovative and creative live remixes.
Groove‑Circuit features:
Drum Swap
This feature replaces the drum parts of the track loaded on the deck with other drum loops at the press of a button — even during playback. A free pack of 40 loops in various genres is available for download so you can try this function straight out of the box.
Drum‑Roll/Trans
Ideal for creating spontaneous drum rolls or adding fills to transitions. It’s also useful during track buildups when applying roll or trans effects to drum parts.
Drum‑Release
Applying release FX to drum parts easily creates breakdowns.
Capture

Layout based on the latest club‑standard DJ equipment
The DDJ‑GRV6 features large jog wheels ideal for scratching, eight performance pads located above the jog wheels — just like the flagship CDJ‑3000 multi‑player — and Beat‑FX from the DJM‑A9 in the mixer section. All this creates a playing experience similar to club‑standard gear. The controller enables dynamic performances and flawless club sets by combining expressive scratching with pad and effect techniques.
Smart‑Rotary‑Selector and Discover function revolutionise track selection
The new Smart‑Rotary‑Selector on the DDJ‑GRV6 supports tilt up/down and left/right as well as conventional rotate‑and‑press operations when used with rekordbox for Mac/Windows ver. 7. Tilting left/right provides intuitive navigation through the media browser, list view and track list, while tilting up/down allows fast navigation through playlists and collections. This makes locating the desired track quick no matter how large your music library is. Pressing the Discover button gives instant access to the 'title suggestions' function so you can rediscover old favourites or find new songs.
Remix performances with Stems FX in Serato DJ Pro
The DDJ‑GRV6 is compatible with Serato DJ Pro, which includes a Stems‑FX function. This lets you express yourself musically by applying effects such as Roll, Trans, Echo Out and Delay to individual stems of a track — drums, bass, vocals or melody. The DDJ‑GRV6 includes an overlay sheet so the pad labels match Stems FX and operation is even easier.
