True Fender Precision Sound with More ToneEddie on 27.01.2016
I already own a genuine 1971 Fender Jazz Bass in Cherry Sunburst ( bought new at great cost ) and have always hankered after a Precision Bass to complement it. My experiences with a Squier Bullet Stratocaster which sounds absolutely amazing brought me to respect the Squier brand enormously.
I bought this P bass to see if the quality could match my Jazz Bass. I have to say the chrome and paint on this Vintage Modified P Bass are Flawless , better Chrome than my original J Bass in finish, which is quite rough by comparison.
The Jazz Bass does have a better, slightly richer sound , but the difference is so tiny considering the price difference ie a couple of thousand quid, and I do have a lighter gauge of string on the Jazz bass. Other than that it sounds and feels every bit a Fender through and through. I just love it to bits. You just can't go wrong with this bass. I know which one I'll be gigging with from now on. For the money its a steal.

Features is great, real 70´s funky look. Sound is also good, surprisingly good mics!
Only problem is the poor quality of finishing. I had to whet the back of the neck myself from the saddle-end for
about 3 cm area in the middle of it. And the pickquard is
not fitting perfectly with the other side of the control panel.
But anyhow if that is not bothering you, go for it!
It still has a fairly good value for money. And looks is the most important thing, isn´´t it!
