Value for money:
I don't know where to start, so I'll begin with the stuff i didn't like. It came stringed with 9's - that's way to thin for a Jaguar. I've been playing Jazzmasters for a long time, so I know all the little quirks of Jazzmasters and Jaguars. They both need heavier strings, Jaguars in particular due to shorter scale and thus the lighter tension. Change it to 11's, or at least 10's if that's too heavy. Well, that's the only thing I didn't like about the guitar. The neck is perfect - no buzz, no sharp edges. Tremolo works fine. Keeps in tune. Harware is ok. The bridge is prone to rattling, just like American or Japanese made counterparts - I solve that with puting beeswax on saddle and bridge screws. Pickups are nice sounding, at least to my taste - the neck is clean and clear, the bridge is higher output, but I like that. It cuts through in a mix without a problem. Even the neck pickup with big muff will cut through. I like the feel of a shorter scale. I can't remember when was the last time I bought a guitar and didn't have to do anything to make it play/sound better - such as filing the nut, changing the pickups, even levelling the frets. Appart from the beeswax (a necesssity with all JMs and Jaguars) and strings change, this one was perfect. It's a great guitar, irrespective of the price.
