Product information "Yamaha YAS-280 alto saxophone"
The Yamaha YAS-280 alto saxophone offers a perfect start, as it has been specially designed for young beginners. The YAS-280 is relatively light and the saxophone has a particularly ergonomic shape, making it easy to hold and play. The sound is precise and excellent and the intonation in this price range is as you would expect from Yamaha. Yamaha's design gives beginners optimum support and promotes both the learning process of students as well as their creativity. The YAS-280 saxophones are based on the popular 275er series, however, provided with some additional new features such as a more stable neck and a new low B-C# connection for better response and greater stability. The new rugged lightweight case with carrying strap system allows for easy carrying to class or to the next gig. On the front of the lightweight suitcase is a Zip pocket for your notes.
The Yamaha company history
Yamaha began producing wind instruments 40 years ago - in 1965. At that time, Yamaha was primarily known worldwide as a manufacturer of high-quality grand pianos and upright pianos. The trumpet with the designation YTR-1 was Yamaha's first wind instrument. This was followed shortly afterwards by trombones, tubas, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, bassoons, oboes, piccolos, flugelhorns, French horns... the complete range of wind instruments. Just like the YTR-1, the 10 millionth wind instrument is also a trumpet.
Yamaha is the only instrument manufacturer in the world that consistently employs specialised designers for each instrument in its product range, as well as maintaining an international network of ateliers responsible for research and development. In addition, some of the world's best musicians are involved in the development process. Their opinions are of paramount importance in the development work and contribute to the realisation of the most important goal - the production of the world's best instruments. Therein lies the secret of this unprecedented success. In 2005, YAMAHA produced its 10 MILLIONth wind instrument - a milestone in history!

Yamaha or A Company That Makes Everything. In fact, you could probably list faster what Yamaha does not make. The Japan-based company, active for over 125 years, is the all-rounder among instrument manufacturers. Having started as a maker of pianos, grand pianos and even wooden furniture, the range was soon expanded considerably: Yamaha now offers keyboards, string instruments, woodwinds, drums and percussion as well as PA and studio equipment. For example, youll find steel-string acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric basses, the popular PSR keyboards, acoustic drumkits and e-drum sets, flutes and saxophones for beginners and intermediates, as well as the popular Clavinova CLP-700 digital pianos and entertainer keyboards like the Genos or the synthesiser Yamaha MX49, plus PA equipment and studio monitors for professional needs. In any case, you can always rely on Yamaha for excellent value for money.
