The legendary 1176 Compressor is still considered the gold standard today – and the current Origin Effects Cali76 MK II is based on this ingenious circuitry, too. Origin Effects uses an ultra-fast FET circuit, with the Dry potentiometer allowing the direct signal to be mixed in, so that even with extreme compression, the attack of the input signal is retained. An LED chain indicates the degree of gain reduction, and the 9-volt operating voltage is internally transformed to 24 volts for extended headroom. The Cali76 delivers round, dense and musical sounds.
