Product information "Laney L5T-112 Lionheart"
The Laney L5T-112 valve combo amplifier celebrates Laney's 40 years of manufacturing world-class valve amplifiers with vintage and modern tones.
The Laney Lionheart L5T-112 all-valve 1 x 12-inch guitar combo amp gives you the ability to drive its power amp hard at reasonable volume levels. Its single-ended Class A design and 5-watt output make the Lionheart L5T-112 a great recording amp.
The Laney L5T-112 combo is all valve, with 3 x 12AX7 / ECC83 preamp valves and 1 EL84 output valves, Class-A single-ended circuitry for classic, warm valve tone. The L5T-112 is feature loaded: 2-channels, Clean and Drive, 2-inputs Hi gain and Lo with the input attenuated by half. Sealed Gold plated contact relays, jack sockets, Hi and Low gain inputs, and Gold plated printed circuit boards for minimum sound coloration. EQ provided by passive Bass, Middle and Treble, Tone boost and cut active on the top end of the signal, and Bright switch for edge and picking emphasis on the Drive channel and brightness and life to trebles on the Clean. Drive sets the level of valve preamp drive, increase to dirty up your tone. Effects Loop Send and Return for external rack mount effects .
The Laney L5T-112 Birch plywood cabinet mounts a unique Tilting Mechanism, allowing the cab to be used either upright or tilted back.
Single-ended class-A circuitry, as used in the Laney L5T-112 Lionheart combo, means the EL84 output valve is connected to one side of the L5T-112 output transformer's primary winding. The other side of the transformer primary is wired to the power supply. While giving less output power than the alternative push-pull circuitry, single-ended class-A produces more even order harmonics when over-driven. A great advantage to guitar players as even order harmonics provide the rich tone associated with classic class-a valve guitar amps.

The manufacturer Laney has stood for outstanding quality and unmistakable British sound since 1967. Laney was founded in the heart of England and quickly made a name for itself with its guitar and bass amplifiers. When Lyndon Laney needed an amplifier for his band in 1966, he had no idea that this would be the beginning of a long journey – a journey that would span more than 50 years and all continents. With a clear vision and a passion for excellent sound he began developing amplifiers that are not only robust and reliable, but also sonically impressive.
Laney is known for its distinctive British sound, ranging from warm clean tones to punchy overdrives. This tonal palette is ideal for various musical styles, from blues and rock to metal. The British company relies on innovative technologies to deliver the best sound. Models like the Ironheart or the Lionheart offer modern features such as USB ports, headphone output and digital effects, without losing the classic valve tone.
Laney is proud to be a family-run company dedicated to supporting musicians. Amps are developed by musicians for musicians. The passion and understanding of musicians' needs is reflected in every product. From aspiring amateurs to professional musicians – Laney products are award-winning and are used on the biggest stages around the world.
