Jackson Pro Plus Series Rhoads GLOSS BLACK

Product information "Jackson Pro Plus Series Rhoads GLOSS BLACK"

Jackson's first customer was the legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads, who asked the company to design a model that met the demands of his technically exacting playing with visual flair. The result has been continually developed to meet and exceed the needs of the players who grew up on his groundbreaking work. The Rhoads RR24 from the Pro Plus Series is a proud contender for the throne of high‑tech guitars.

The Pro RR24 combines a single‑piece Okoumé body with a neck‑through, three‑piece maple/walnut neck reinforced with a pair of graphite rods to resist temperature and humidity changes. The fast neck profile is designed for blistering guitar work, removes all obstacles to nimble playing and allows easier access to the upper frets. With 24 jumbo stainless‑steel frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, the ebony fretboard with a 12"-16" compound radius is the ideal platform for heavy chord work and fast, lightning‑quick solos.

The modern Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucking pickups deliver a balanced, flexible tone suited even to the most aggressive styles, offering high output for pristine cleans and snarling distortion. The Floyd Rose 1000 double‑locking tremolo system gives notes and chords an expressive vibrato at the flick of a wrist while providing rock‑solid tuning stability and precise intonation.

The RR24 is the best‑known instrument among Jackson's countless offerings and features the familiar aesthetic that makes Jackson axes so sought after by guitarists. From the unique sharkfin inlays to the pointed 6‑in‑line headstock and the revolutionary body design — this instrument is unmistakably a Jackson creation. Jackson guitars don't just push boundaries, they shatter them — and the Pro Plus Rhoads is no exception.

About Jackson

Jackson Guitars arose from Grover Jackson's takeover of the well-known company Charvel's Guitar Repair in 1978. The collaboration with then Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads in 1980 resulted in the Rhoads body shape still available today and also marked the start of Jackson Guitars. The timing was perfect: heavy metal enjoyed a heyday in the 1980s and the trend (sparked by Eddie Van Halen) was for so-called super- or powerstrats. These are guitars that are visually more or less based on the classic ST shape but fitted with more modern and stylistically appropriate components like humbuckers or Floyd Rose tremolos. Jackson soon earned a reputation as a forge of first-class, USA-built high-end custom instruments, seen in the hands of many well-known guitarists of the era. With the musical changes of the 1990s, Jackson Guitars began opening factories in the Far East to offer their instruments in more affordable price ranges. Since 2002 both Jackson and Charvel have been part of the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
