The heads of the Fusion S series are GK's brand‑new flagship models in the Class D category, featuring a tube preamp. The rich and popular warmth of the tubes combined with the fast, punchy power section for which GK bass amplifiers are known is an incomparable experience. These heads feature three 12AX7 tubes in the preamp, combined with a dedicated overdrive channel.
Like the Legacy series, the Fusion S series also uses a unique interconnection system that eliminates problems that can arise over time from constant vibration and extreme temperatures. By using printed circuit boards with gold‑plated connections instead of cables with standard tin connections, this type of construction delivers a cleaner and more reliable sound. Features include GK's classic 4‑band EQ, tube overdrive with tone shaping, additional voicing filters at the push of a button such as "Bump", "Contour" and "Presence", a balanced DI with pre‑ and post‑EQ, an effects loop, aux and headphone jacks and load selection to deliver optimal performance in 2‑, 2.7‑, 4‑ and 8‑ohm cabinet configurations.

The success story began in 1968 with a self-built amplifier and the then-unknown guitarist Carlos Santana, who took the first Gallien-Krueger amp with him to the Woodstock Festival the following year. To this day company founder and mastermind Robert Gallien has designed and brought to market numerous high-quality, innovative and legendary bass amplifiers. In doing so, however, he never modelled himself on other products or let anything divert him from his vision, but always sought his own, better solutions.
