The Fryette Power Station PS-100 is far more than an attenuator or a power soak. The PS-100 not only offers the possibility to reduce the signal of your tube amp, it now also features a 100 watt power amp with 2x 6550 output tubes. This means the PS-100 can also be used as a power amp or equally as a booster for smaller amps. Like few other attenuators, the PS-100 preserves the dynamics of the original signal. The original sound is therefore hardly affected and the amp's tonal character is preserved. The PS-100 version has received several upgrades, such as a second switchable volume, a balanced XLR out on the rear and improved 'Silent Recording', low noise performance and 'Reactive Load' functions. Le meilleur de sa catégorie,un must, imbattable AAAAA +++++
Very happy with this unit. I also own a THD Hot Plate (which is ok), but the PS really makes a huge difference keeping your tone intact. Probably the best attenuator out there, highly recommended!
