Product information "Ortega R121-1/2 NT"
Concert guitars from Ortega combine the tradition of Spanish guitar art with modern technology and contemporary design. The R 121 makes the low-priced entry into the guitar world possible.
With its smaller body size (body depth of 85 mm), the R 121 1/2 is ideal for children aged 7-9 years. Nevertheless, it is certainly not a toy, but with its light spruce top and dark mahogany back and sides is a solidly processed instrument for child-friendly playing pleasure. The fingerboard consists of sonokelin, a rosewood-like wood, and is equipped with 18 frets - with a scale length of 560 mm. By way of comparison, an adult model (4/4 size) has an average length of 650 mm. The neck width also meets the smaller hands with a saddle width of 43.5 mm (as opposed to 52 mm for standard size).
The included bag protects the guitar during transport. So you can enjoy this beautiful instrument a long time.

Ortega Guitars was founded in Germany in 1994 and has combined modern design with authentic, traditional methods of classical guitar building. The company is particularly known for its concert guitars, but has since made a name for itself in many other areas of acoustic music. Ortega Guitars is committed to innovation, quality and sustainability and strives to meet and continuously exceed the expectations for all its acoustic instruments at every level.
The initial aim of the newly founded guitar company was to produce guitars that anyone can play and afford. From that starting point Ortega Guitars has grown from a small German guitar brand into a true global player with distribution partners around the world.
A cornerstone of Ortega Guitars was and still is the construction of guitars in traditional Spanish-style build, regarded as the highest-quality construction method. In addition to further developing this construction style, various designs and features were experimented with and the instruments have steadily improved. Ortega Guitars always takes its cue from the wishes of its customers and from the artists who play Ortega instruments. Over the past 25 years the product range has therefore expanded considerably. Today music enthusiasts can choose from a wide variety of stringed instruments such as ukuleles, acoustic basses, mandolins and banjos. Of course smaller guitars such as 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 models for children are also part of the range.
The latest innovations from Ortega include, among other things, the digital stompboxes Horse Kick Pro and Quantum Loop, the Keiki-Series ukuleles for very young musicians and a system specifically for the amplification of acoustic guitars consisting of the head unit H ONE and the matching speaker cabinets S ONE and S TWO. With so much innovation and customer focus it is no surprise that many artists have chosen Ortega guitars and play them in everyday life and on stage. Among the best-known artists with signature instruments from Ortega Guitars are Thomas Zwijsen, Ben Woods, Javier Reyes and Ken Taylor.
