With the DAVE 15 G4X the search is over. The active compact PA consisting of a 15" subwoofer and two satellites with 8" drivers (total power: 2060 W Peak) not only offers a new, modern design with numerous handling optimisations, but also an integrated 6‑channel mixer with all important input options. This lets you create a wide range of setups and combinations of instruments, vocals and playback devices — wired and wireless thanks to integrated Bluetooth for easy streaming from a smartphone or tablet.
The first two channels of the mixer are designed as channel strips. Here you can connect either a microphone, a high‑impedance instrument — for example guitar and bass — or line‑level sources. For tone shaping each channel offers a 2‑band EQ for bass and treble as well as an adjustable reverb with three presets (Small, Large, Plate). Channels 3+4 are configured as stereo line inputs and are suitable, among other things, for keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines or small e‑drum kits.
The DAVE 15 G4X becomes even more versatile when you use the digital S/PDIF stereo input or the Bluetooth connection to expand your performance setup with a media player, computer or smartphone, from which you can play and control backing tracks, sound effects or interval music. The inputs (channels 5+6) can also be used for a karaoke system or simply to reproduce a TV in a sports bar with authoritative sound.
Speaking of powerful sound: the DAVE 15 G4X has been redesigned and developed from the ground up. Not only instruments and music benefit from this, but also speech intelligibility when the PA is used for voice reinforcement. The acoustic concepts include new compression drivers and waveguides for a homogeneous and directional dispersion behaviour as well as FIR filters and state‑of‑the‑art DSP technology for a transparent, uncoloured sound that you haven’t experienced from a DAVE before. For example, the subwoofer was fitted with a larger voice coil and an optimised bass‑reflex system to reduce venting noise to a minimum.
The DAVE 15 G4X is generally predestined for flexible use. Contributing to this are selectable mode presets for classic stereo operation or the setup with two closely mounted satellites on a T‑stand above the subwoofer — the DAVE G4X convinces sonically in all configurations. The latter preset allows interference‑free clustering of two satellites by a special M/S separation and playback of the stereo signal for more headroom and directivity.
