Few synthesizers enjoy the legendary status of the ARP 2600. Its unique sound, which has been immortalised in countless music productions, film scores and TV and video game soundtracks since its debut in the 1970s, remains an indispensable part of the music world today. Now this synthesizer legend is back — as a compact desktop module, carefully made in Japan. Inside you'll find the same analogue circuits and components used in the ARP 2600 FS reissue, bringing the authentic ARP sound into the modern era. Even the analogue spring reverb and the internal monitor speakers survived the reduction to approx. 60% of the original size and still perform their function in the ARP 2600 M desktop module. The semi-modular analogue synth has also been equipped with several additional features to ease integration into modern recording and live setups. The module includes both filter types from the different versions of the original ARP 2600, USB-A and USB-B ports for direct connection of USB keyboards or USB-MIDI compatible devices, a DIN MIDI input, improved faders and balanced 1/4" outputs (L/R). The control voltage used to trigger the ADSR envelope has been brought in line with modern standards so the synth can be used easily in existing setups with, for example, devices from the volca series or Eurorack modules.

The Japanese company Korg INC is one of the most renowned manufacturers of our time when it comes to electronic musical instruments and accessories. Among musicians the company is often simply referred to as Korg. The company was founded on 28 August 1963 by Tsutomu Kato and Tadashi Osanai. The nearly 300 employees at Korg INC are mainly engaged in the manufacture and marketing of synthesizers and samplers, drum machines and sound modules, keyboards and electric pianos, but also USB controllers, electronic drums as well as handy little helpers for guitarists. Worth mentioning here are clip tuners (Pitch-Clip), tuners (CA-50, GA-50, Pitchblack) and metronomes (MA-2) as well as guitar and bass effects.
