The guitars of the Ibanez AZ series are a contemporary interpretation of the classic ST-style guitars, a high-tech version for the 21st century. Ibanez has given the AZ427P2QM-TUB 7-String a whole series of up-to-date detail improvements: the Ibanez T1572S Tremolo by Gotoh is a revised version of the good old vintage ST tremolo - steel rider and slag-free tremolo lever, low-friction 2-bolt bearing. The neck is made of roasted maple, a thermo-treated wood with the stability and sound of tonewood that has been seasoned for years, the fingerboard is made of rosewood, the alder body is finished in Twilight Blue Burst, deep cutaways make it easy to reach the high registers. Gotoh locking tuners ensure lightning-fast string changes and tuning stability. When it comes to pickups, Ibanez has collaborated with Seymour Duncan - the result is the new Hyperion pickups, which, in conjunction with the Alter Switch, enable numerous switching and sound variants.
