The revpad by GTC Sound Innovations is a well-equipped effect device - really nothing special, if it didn't have a cool accessory, which makes the Revpad a truly creative sound tool: the Guitar Unit - a wireless controller that allows a variety of parameter changes and controls in real time. This controller pad can easily be fixed on the guitar topr (caution with nitro-paint!! ) and offers 3 freely configurable buttons as well as a touchpad which can be triggered by wiping or pressing with the finger. The concept is similar to that of the Kaos Pad - you can create unusual effect sounds like scratching, synth sounds, pad sounds, swell effects, killswitch sounds and much more. The Clue is that Control Changes and Program Changes can be sent out via MIDI, and any MIDI-capable external effects device can be controlled with the touchpad. A further advantage is that you can move freely on the stage, and not have to go back to the effect device for program changes.
