Gallien Krueger Legacy 800
Product information "Gallien Krueger Legacy 800"
The Legacy Series represents 50 years of design, innovation and worldwide stage credibility by Gallien-Krueger. The Legacy Series has the same designer (Bob Gallien) as the 800RB, thus it has the same DNA and the same level of innovation, but with a more advanced range of functions. The introduction of the 800RB in 1980 cemented Gallien-Krueger as the leader in solid-state bass amplification, with its signature growl, clarity, power, and features that were ahead of its time. The new Legacy Series head elite captures the same aesthetic while adding something entirely its own. From clean, clear, snappy tones to full-bodied overdrive, the Legacy series has it all. Available in 500-, 800- and 1200-watt Class D models, Legacy heads are ready for the biggest stages, smallest living rooms and everything in between.
To improve performance and reliability, the Legacy Series uses a unique interconnection system that eliminates problems that can arise over time from constant vibration and extreme temperatures. By using printed circuit boards with gold-plated connectors instead of cables with standard tin connectors, this type of construction delivers a purer and more reliable sound.

The success story began in 1968 with a self-built amplifier and the then-unknown guitarist Carlos Santana, who took the first Gallien-Krueger amp with him to the Woodstock Festival the following year. To this day company founder and mastermind Robert Gallien has designed and brought to market numerous high-quality, innovative and legendary bass amplifiers. In doing so, however, he never modelled himself on other products or let anything divert him from his vision, but always sought his own, better solutions.
„I have never seen the point in doing things the way others have done them. I also have not been very interested in following the latest fad.“
– Robert Gallien
