The Fryette GPDI-IR is a versatile recording and live solution that delivers authentic tube sound in a compact format. With a full-featured 1-watt tube amplifier, integrated IR loader, analogue cab filter and reamping capability, it's the perfect choice for guitarists seeking authentic amp tone with maximum flexibility.
The Valvulator® GPDI/IR combines a fully fledged tube output stage with versatile connectivity. It can be driven directly into a mixing console, into a speaker cabinet, via headphones or through an external amplifier. That makes it suitable for recording, live stages and rehearsal rooms alike.
The GPDI/IR offers two options for speaker simulation:
- Digital IR loader with 16 memory slots, 8 Fryette cabs preinstalled. Your own IRs can be loaded via the USB port.
- Adjustable analogue cab filter for latency-free, dynamic speaker simulation.
Both options can be used individually or combined, or completely disabled.
Professional reamping and effects integration
Thanks to the Unity Gain Direct Out an unprocessed guitar signal can be recorded and later sent back through the amplifier via the reamp input. The effects loop enables:
Inserting effects between preamp and power amp.
Operation with external preamps or modelling devices.
Using effects in External Amp Mode.
Compact tube power amp for real speakers
The 1-watt tube power amp can drive 4, 8 or 16 ohm speaker cabinets. This even allows quiet recording with mic placement.
Dynamics control & tone options
The sag function influences the natural tube dynamics, improving attack sensitivity, sustain and response. The amp also offers three tone modes (Clean, Deliverance, Pittbull) and a footswitchable gain stage.
