The venerable Fender Precision Bass has been rocking stages around the world for almost 70 years. The American Professional II P-Bass RW DK NITE is the latest version of this classic. Fender has completely redesigned the neck: 1963 C profile, meticulously rounded fingerboard edges and a "Super Natural Satin Finish" on the back of the neck, making it a real treat for the hands. The familiar Fender 4-saddle HiMass bridge, where the strings can be threaded either through the body or directly into the bridge, ensures the best possible vibration transfer. A newly developed V-Mod II split single-coil Precision Bass pickup delivers classic Preci growl with extended output.

Zuzüglich zum 5-Saiter Jazz wollte ich aus diversen Gründen noch einen 4-Saiter P. Rein vom Klang gibt es nichts zu bemängeln und auch sonst liegt der Bass gut in der Hand. Der Hals fühlt sich sehr angenehm an. Im Vergleich zum 5-Saiter J hat man aber doch fast das Gefühl, man habe einen Kinderbass in den Händen ;-) Von der Ausstattungsseite inkl. dem Koffer gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Warum jedoch nur 4 Sterne? Zum einen ist der Bass in Natura deutlich heller als auf all den Fotos; anders gesagt, er sieht auf den Bildern cooler aus. Und zweitens hat der Bass einen kleinen Kratzer auf dem Fretboard, zumindest sieht es für mich nach einem Kratzer aus (90° entgegen dem Holzmuster). Dezent und unauffällig, ausser man achtet sich. Bei einem Instrument in dieser Preislage trotzdem "enttäuschend". Trotzdem, alles in allem ein schönes Instrument, dass sich angenehm spielt.
