The KAAMOS from Darkglass was developed in collaboration with bassist Amos Heller and is the latest magic box from Darkglass. The Kaamos is an octave/distortion and effects loop with various routing options. Distortion and octaver can be switched in series or parallel. The separate sub-octave output also offers creative multi-amp setups. The additional built-in effects loop can be configured in three different positions for maximum routing options. The name Kaamos cleverly combines the Finnish word for the time between December and January in the polar regions where the sun never rises, a mystical darkness, with the co-developer of the pedal, Amos Heller, who works for Taylor Swift and is a long-time endorser of Darkglass products.
