Evans Genera HD DRY B14HDD 14'' Snare Head

The popular two-layer snare head from Evans, like all snare heads in the Genera series, is provided with the Evans well-known damping system. The already attacking sound of a two-layer head is amplified with the help of the damping ring. Small holes, so-called dry vents, were also worked into the edge of the head. As the name suggests, these make the snare sound drier. The optimal head especially for the heavy drummer.

Evans Genera HD DRY heads feature two plies of film. An outer ply of 5mil film and an inner ply of 7.5mil film, in combination with a 2mil overtone control ring on the underside that "floats" with the head, eliminating excessive overtones and controlling sustain. Precision-drilled dry vents around the perimeter of head reduce overtones and control sustain.
