The search for the right drum sticks even for the experienced drummer never completed properly. Drum sticks are divided into length, diameter, weight, material, surface, head, balance and design. Drum sticks with wooden heads provide a warm and natural sound. Nylon heads on the other hand seem harder to produce a clear sound and have a longer life. Drumsticks are usually characterized by a number and a letter added to. Common sizes are approximately 2B, 5A, 5B or 7A. Unfortunately, this characterization is no general standard - there is deviation from manufacturer to manufacturer, but in general we can state the following: A stick with the marking 7 is filiganer than a stick labeled 2 and B-stick is thicker than a drum Stick with the name A.
