We invited the all-rounder Joachim Wolf (among others pianist & keyboardist, arranger & music producer, and musical director on countless TV productions) to our video studio in Frankfurt to introduce you to the most important features and sounds of the Genos2. New design and revised controls
The Genos2 impresses not only with its elegant design but also with completely new control elements. Equipped with not just one but two screens, operation is now easier and more comfortable than ever. The new anti-glare 9" screen with touch function offers a wider viewing angle and thus simplifies operation. Brightness can also be adjusted conveniently, so you can play even in darker environments.
The Genos2 features a newly designed control panel where every button, fader and knob is perfectly positioned. The faders and knobs now have practical LED lights that make operation easier. The 76-key keyboard is equipped with a sensitive aftertouch effect that provides a particularly realistic and pleasant playing feel.
An almost endless sound library
The Genos2 offers an unrivalled selection of sounds: over 500 Super Articulations Voices, 384-voice polyphony and 2000 sounds create a huge library with something to suit every taste. In addition, the Genos2 comes with 141 FM sounds. Frequency Modulation sounds are characterised by being generated in real time and therefore sound particularly impressive and realistic.
The innovative Revelation Reverb technology allows pianists to edit sounds in detail and tailor the reverb individually or create their own reverb presets. This enables true spatial sound simulation and makes the sound extremely realistic. Revelation Reverb was developed by Steinberg and reflects wonderful sound quality in every setting.
New, dynamic Styles
The new entertainer flagship from Yamaha impresses not only with a large selection but also with outstanding styles. Genos2 proudly presents itself as the first keyboard workstation ever that lets you adjust the energy and dynamics of the included styles. With the help of the Style-Dynamics-Control individual parts can be played back louder, quieter, softer or more powerful.
The Genos2 contains a total of 800 Styles, of which 215 are completely new. Whether Rock, Pop, Latin, Schlager or Jazz, there's something for every taste.
Improved tools for a better workflow
Alongside the new controls, sounds and styles the Genos2 now also offers advanced connectors and an even higher-capacity memory card that greatly eases the workflow. The new memory card makes it possible to store MIDI settings from external devices so they are always on hand. With the USB-Audio-Interface it is easier than ever to record music with the Rec'n'Share-App or other software. In addition, an external display can be connected to work even more precisely.
With the SMFtoSTY Converter it is now possible to convert MIDI song files into styles. These can then be used and modelled like a predefined style.

We present: GENOS 2 - The new big hit from Yamaha: The Godfather of Entertainment Workstation
The Yamaha Genos 2 comes with an improved keyboard in terms of aftertouch and many new possibilities. The Genos 2 is the first arranger workstation to feature a dual sound generator, which not only provides AWM technology, but now also FM synthesis.
Furthermore, an external monitor can be used as a lyrics display via HDMI output. The latest version of Bluetooth Audio 5.0 is also supported by the Genos 2.
The display is twice as bright as the Genos 1 and the contrast has been improved - the display is also low-reflection.
The power of the Genos 2 is rounded off with 384-voice polyphony, new effects, revised and new styles and voices.
The styles really come into their own with the new Style Dynamics function. You can choose to play your backing band at a soft pianissimo volume, a punchy fortissimo volume or anything in between.
With the new Ambient Drums, you can choose between a punchy, dry, direct drum sound and a more distant, reflective ambient sound with a single live controller. This gives you endless possibilities for sound character when playing with accompaniment styles.

Yamaha or A Company That Makes Everything. In fact, you could probably list faster what Yamaha does not make. The Japan-based company, active for over 125 years, is the all-rounder among instrument manufacturers. Having started as a maker of pianos, grand pianos and even wooden furniture, the range was soon expanded considerably: Yamaha now offers keyboards, string instruments, woodwinds, drums and percussion as well as PA and studio equipment. For example, youll find steel-string acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric basses, the popular PSR keyboards, acoustic drumkits and e-drum sets, flutes and saxophones for beginners and intermediates, as well as the popular Clavinova CLP-700 digital pianos and entertainer keyboards like the Genos or the synthesiser Yamaha MX49, plus PA equipment and studio monitors for professional needs. Bin sehr zufrieden, darf mich noch einarbeiten👍👍
Ich bin mit Genos 2 und des Unternehmens sehr zufrieden. Genos2 mit verschiedene Mikrofonaufnahme ist die beste für mich. Es macht echt Spaß. Habe auch gute Mikrofon und Lautsprecher mit 4800W Super "Gefällt mir. Aber nicht Einfach viel Sache zur lernen.... es ist nicht einwach wie meine GEM Genesys. GENOS 2 brauch ich viel Zeit bis ich Alles in blick haben. Genos 2 verfügt über ein fortschrittlicheres Mikrofonaufnahme und eine wunderbare Leistung.
Der einzige Kritikpunkt den ich habe ist das das Genos 2 nach Weihnachten deutlich günstiger wurde. Das ist halt schade für mich als Kunde, sonst war alles Tip Top.
