Line 6's next trick: the HX Stomp offers Helix and M Series sounds in a pocket-sized package. The small pedal offers a choice of 300 different helix-quality models. Up to 6 effects can be used simultaneously - tap tempo and a connection for an expression pedal are included. The handling is very similar to the flagship Helix including snapshots. MIDI and USB interface complete the overall picture. The HX Stomp is ideal as a recording tool, as a floor effect (either as a preamp or via 4 cable method), as a noble headphone preamp or as a back up.

Line 6. Few names are more associated with modelling and innovative sound design than the Californian soundsmith. The brand took off with the famous little red "bean", the Line 6 Pocket POD, in the early 2000s. Suddenly musicians in the recording studio could access a wide range of amp and effect sounds without having to set up complex rigs and mic them. "Modelling" suddenly entered the mainstream, appeared on almost every studio console and delivered sounds to home headphones. At session the POD series remains a top seller to this day, with each generation — POD 2.0, POD XT, POD HD500 — adding new features like improved sound, many more amp models and hundreds of effects. Current models like the Line 6 POD GO even offer the ability to use multiple rigs simultaneously, letting you play complex sounds with several amps and effects at once.
For professionals, Line 6 expanded its product range in 2015 with Helix, a kind of high-end POD offering endless possibilities to dial in the perfect sound. With professional routing options, displays on the footswitches showing the current setup and what was at the time the most realistic sound in LINE 6's history, the Helix can still be found on stages and in studios around the world. The Helix LT, a reduced model with fewer features, and the HX Stomp, a very compact, more affordable variant, later broadened the Californian's range with stripped-down options for smaller budgets. HX Effects completes the Helix family as a pure effects module without amp sounds and is extremely popular at session!

Line 6 modelling didn't start in pedal form, but reached musicians first as a kind of all-in-one amp, the AxSYS 212, which contained a wide variety of classic amp sounds from clean to metal. Hatte anfangs etwas Sorge, weil der Stomp ja extrem vielseitig ist. Die Bedienung ist aber aus meiner Sicht gut durchdacht- tolles Gerät!
I cannot say a bad word about the HX Stomp, but the experience of shopping at Musik Produktiv has been disappointing. I was sent a B-stock unit. All bags with cables inside the box were ripped open. Clearly an used unit. I sent an email to their customer service shortly after, never got a reply. I will not be shopping here anymore, that's for sure.

Einfach nur super dieses Teil. Ich benutze es für Bass. Da brauche ich nicht alle Möglichkeiten des Stomp. Muss mich aber noch etwas einarbeiten.
Tolles Gerät, unfassbar viele toll klingende Funktionen in einer sehr kompakten Box. Macht alles Richtig. Subjektive Abstriche: kein Plug and Play Gerät, man muss sich viel Zeit dafür nehmen. Und ich mag digitale Zerren nur im Metal Bereich, Crunch etc. gefällt mir analog besser. Aber das schmälert die Höchstnote nicht. Zumal man dann die Native Software günstiger bekommt, und die ist spitze.
Ich bin Bassist und habe mir dieses Gerät in dem Wissen gekauft, dass ich nicht mehr als 6 Blöcke benötige. Für mich wertvoll ist die Crossover-Funktion, um die tiefen Singalanteile clean lassen zu können. Damit ist sehr viel Platz zum experimentieren. Man sollte aber Zeit haben den richtigen Sound zu erstellen. Mir hat das hiermit zum ersten Mal richtig Spaß gemacht. Weiter kann man sehr günstig einen weiteren Fußschalter ergänzen. Das finde ich gegenüber der Konkurrenz ideal. So kann das Stomp mit Stromanschluss beim Verstärker bleiben und in Biernähe ist nur ein günstiger Schalter. Nach 3 Wochen intensiver Nutzung bin ich begeistert.
Ein super Gerät mit einfacher Bedienung und guter Software. Wie bei allen Modellern muss man sich mit dem Gerät auch auseinander setzen. Die mitgelieferten Presents sind nicht mein Geschmack, aber es ist total einfach neue Presets zu bauen. Das 6-Block Limit des Stomps ist bisher kein wirkliches Problem gewesen. Das USB Audio Interface ist absolute Klasse. Zusammengefasst: Kaufen und glücklich sein.
