Fender has now come up with a remedy: the Smolder pedal is specially designed for use with piezo pickups. The secret of the Smolder is the Pickup Comp control, which cuts the harsh, sharp highs of the piezo pickup. The basic sound can be easily fine-tuned with the effective 3-band EQ, while a speaker simulation puts the icing on the cake of the distortion sound. A cool Fender creation!
