The EVH 5150III Hypersonic 6L6 2x12 combo amp recreates a realistic model of the EVH 5150III 6L6 tube combo thanks to its enormous digital processor power.
A high-performance digital power amp simulates the headroom and dynamic range of the real tube amp. In conjunction with a Celestion speaker and the rear-sealed plywood cabinet, this produces a convincingly authentic EVH tone that in density, volume and dynamics is practically indistinguishable from the all-tube original.
Compared with the all-tube version, the 5150III Hypersonic combo is pleasantly light. At the same time it offers more options for shaping your sound with concentric EQ knobs for channels 1 and 2 and independent noise gate controls on each channel. The supplied footswitch also offers new functions, serving as a selector for reverb and the effects loop. Other features: variable power attenuation with a full-power setting and five attenuator stages, a balanced XLR line output with impulse response (IR) speaker simulation, and a mute switch for stage or recording. The EVH 5150III Hypersonic amps are available with black or ivory vinyl covering.
