The Electro Harmonix Cock Fight pedal is a combination of dual filter and Fuzz Box. This pedal can mnake the typical "Cocked wah" sounds - the input signal is sent through a set Wah pedal and thereby greatly boosted in the mids. The result is a characteristic hollow sound such as Dire straights hit "Money for Nothing". There is also another type of filter - Talk, a formant filter, vocal similar Wah sounds can be generate and together with the Fuzz section Talkbox similar sounds can be created. With the BIAS regulators the Fuzz unit can be powered as if it had a weak battery therefore the FUZZ sound is crumbly and dirty. For traditional Foot Wah and Talking pedal sounds the Cock Fight can be controlled by an external expression pedal.

Ich habe bereits mehrere Effekte von Electro Harmonix (Deluxe Memory Man, Satisfaction Fuzz, Nano Big Muff & Bass Big Muff Pi) und bin von keinem von diesen enttäuscht worden, das selbe gilt für diesen hier! WICHTIG: für die volle Ausnützung der Effekte (Talk Box & Cry Baby Wah) ist ein Expression-Pedal notwendig mit Stereo-Stecker (TRS-Kabel), meines hat 15 Euro gekostet und funktioniert wunderbar damit. Da meine andere Wah-Wahs (Dunlop Cry Baby & Vox Wah) immer gleich 2 Plätze auf meinen Pedal-Boards einnehmen, gefällt mir diese Lösung sehr gut: das kleine Pedal am Board & das Expression-Pedal extra und individuell wo anders! :-) Der Fuzz-Sound gefällt mir auch sehr gut, ist auch schon ohne die andere Effekte ein Probieren wert, ausserdem lässt sich die Reihenfolge frei wählen: Fuzz into Wah / Talk Box oder umgekehrt! für diesen Preis ist ein so vielseitiges Pedal wirklich sein Geld wert, alleine schon für den Wah-Effekt!
Habe damit meine EHX-Overdrive und Distortion-Abteilung ausgebaut. Recht viele Einstellmöglichkeiten. Und wenn man auch noch ein Expression-Pedal hat, kann es losgehen. Ohne Kabel geht wohl auch was, aber das habe ich nicht auf Anhieb verstanden. Von der Beschreibung her dachte ich, dass ich ein WahWah kaufe, das kein Pedal braucht. Andererseits ist aber zugleich ein Fuzz. Kabeltechnisch hatte ich dann noch das Problem (doofer Anfänger/Laie?), dass die üblichen Instrumentenkabel für eine Verbindung des Cock mit dem Expression-Pedal nicht funktionieren und man ein TRS-Kabel (?) braucht. So steht es auch unter dem Gerät und im Manual. Und jetzt ist das Ding so schön schmutzig beim Spielen, das man sogar unbemerkt unsauber spielen kann. Kauft also auf jeden Fall das Pedal mit passendem Kabel dazu. Erst die 3 zusammen bringen dann maximalen Spaß.
