Martin 000-17
Product information "Martin 000-17"
The Martin 000-17 is a fresh addition to the Standard Series, combining classic design with modern refinements for improved tone, playability, and style. This 14-fret 000 model features a solid satin mahogany body that delivers the warm, woody tone you expect from a handcrafted mahogany Martin. The new 000-17 features new refinements such as traditional dovetail neck joint and Golden Era (GE) top bracing made from Sitka spruce, as used in the Modern Deluxe Series, for a vintage tone with plenty of air. Playability enhancements such as a thinner fingerboard with a slightly beveled comfort edge and refined string spacing enhance the playing experience. The satin-finished neck made from selected hardwood with its shorter scale length, ebony fingerboard, and vintage-inspired GE-modified low oval profile is a dream for players who crave fast, effortless playability. Additional details such as a slimmer heel and an ebony bridge with smoother, more comfortable corners contribute to the timeless look and feel of this guitar. Whether you're a fingerstyle player or prefer to strum with a hard hand, the Martin 000-17 delivers a balanced, dynamic sound with a classic vintage vibe that is anything but standard.

The company C.F. Martin & Co., or simply Martin Guitars, can look back on a long company tradition and several innovative inventions. Chief among these is the development of the dreadnought shape and thus the steel‑string acoustic guitar as we know it today. With this, the family business, which spans over 175 years, has shaped the music world to this day. Innovations introduced by Martin that became standard in guitar making also include guitars with 14 frets clear of the body as well as X‑bracing. This allows greater stability and load-bearing capacity of the top (soundboard) thanks to strips glued to the inside of the top. To this day Martin guitars are renowned for their high quality and, of course, for their tone, and are very popular among guitarists. You can find a wide selection with us in the shop or in our branches ready to play. In our Martin Premium steel‑string acoustic guitars section you'll also find a selection of the finest acoustic guitar models from all Martin series.
The name of the US company Martin Guitars, actually C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., has stood for the highest quality and innovation in the construction of stringed instruments since 1833. When people think of Martin they immediately think of the acoustic guitar, since the company founder and German emigrant Christian Friedrich Martin gave the instruments the form we still know and appreciate today. Among the company's inventions are the special bracing (X‑bracing), the neck join at the 14th fret and popular body shapes such as the dreadnought guitar.
