The CA901 is equipped with the Grand Feel III action with wooden keys, which offers an exceptionally realistic playing feel. All eighty-eight black and white keys are made entirely from long wooden pieces and fitted with ivory-like coverings (Ebony&Ivory Touch), which give you a grippy surface for greater confidence and excellent playing control. As with a grand piano, each key moves smoothly on a balance rail. When a key is struck, as on the original, a weighted hammer is moved upwards. In addition, the triple-sensor system provides optimal repetition and playing control. The graduated weighted hammers deliver a true grand-piano feel.
The CA901 is equipped with 6 speakers and 360-degree diffusers for the upward-facing speakers. These specially developed components create a sound experience that spreads the natural sound throughout the room. Compared with the CA701, the CA901 is additionally equipped with a TwinDrive Soundboard System. This is responsible for reproducing the wide frequency spectrum directly via the soundboard. The rear soundboard is set into vibration by two AURES transducers, so no additional bass speakers are required.
